Day 24- A Good Friend

This scripture is very simple, but I believe it's message is very powerful. Like the friendship between Jonathan and David, they made each other want to better people and Jonathan even "loved [David] as his own soul" (see 1 Samuel 18:1). A good friend makes you want to be a better person. They lift you went you are down, they love you like family, and help you grow closer to your father in heaven. The phrase "sharpen the countenance" makes me to think a good person makes another good person to smile. :)

"Iron sharpeneth, iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend."
